About Us

Eltham Welding Supplies Ltd is a distributor and supplier of welding equipment and related products to the UK market. We have a lot of experience within our field and would like to think that we have gained a strong reputation over the years for being knowledgeable, helpful, trustworthy and fair. We have an extensive hire fleet, and we service and repair equipment, as well as offer calibration, COSHH testing, gas inspections and more.

The head office is based in Dartford, with another branch in Portslade, Sussex. We deliver to London, Essex, Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Hertfordshire, and we use DHL for deliveries to the rest of the UK.

We also have a sister company, Eltham Workwear & Safety, which specialises in the supply of PPE, workwear and safety equipment.

A bit of history: Eltham Welding Supplies Ltd was founded in the 1980’s in Eltham, South-East London. It was bought for £1 by Derek Cavalier and relocated to Woolwich, London, where it resided for about 30 years.

In 1993, Derek Cavalier sold the company to David Simpson, who ran it until he passed away in 2018. These days, the company is being run by David’s eldest son, Timo Simpson. Timo is carrying on the values that his father lived by: honesty, decency, reliability and respect. These are as relevant in business as they are in life.
